This gourmet burger bar is being officially opened in Margate

Store Burger is opening on Saturday

A gourmet burger joint will be officially opened in Margate on Saturday (July 15).

Store Burger, at 24 Marine Gardens, is an independent start-up being opened by Mark Beneyto and his partner Charmaine Hawthorne.

The couple, who have two young children, were the brains behind the World Cup pop up on Margate’s Harbour Arm in 2014 which served drinks and burgers while punters watched World Cup games and have been a regular food stall feature at the Wheels and Fins festival in Joss Bay.

Mark and Charmaine are now bringing their skills to the new venture and are employing four part-time staff.

Mark said: “Our takeaway is a gourmet burger joint using all locally sourced ingredients and butcher blended burger patties using our own recipe.

“We have vegan options and will serve doughnuts and milkshakes. Our ethos is to always use quality ingredients and give the consumer value for money and great service.

“Our brand is well considered and inspiration comes from a blend of NYC street food and Scandinavian design.”

The official launch will take place at 4pm.
