The Walpole Bay Hotel ballroom will be turned into a 50’s nightclub for a special show

A night of 50s style music and glamour

The ballroom at The Walpole Bay Hotel will be transformed into a 1950s nightclub for show “I’ve Got Gershwin,” which features 37 popular songs from the great American Songbook.

Focusing mainly on the work of George and Ira Gershwin, the audience will hear favourites such as ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’, ‘Love Walked In’ , ‘A Foggy Day’ and a stunning Tap Routine to ‘Fascinating Rhythm’. 

Other songs featured will be by Gershwin contemporaries Irving Berlin, Al Dubin and Harry Warren, Kurt Weil and Cole Porter including the song with the longest title in the world: ‘How could you believe me when I said I loved you when you know I’ve been a Liar all my life’, and ‘Nice and Easy’, ‘Beyond the Sea’ and ‘Mack the Knife’, so a real mix of popular songs.

The quartette of talented performers comprise of  Gordon Clarkson, Stacy Young, Tiffany Hemmings, and Frank Tucker, all supported by the live music of The Paul Stewart Sound.

The show takes place for four performances only. Food will be available at the tables.


Thursday, September 21 and Friday, September 22 at 3pm,

Saturday, September 23 at 8pm

Sunday, September 24 at 5pm.
