The Dreamland Trust is looking for volunteers to help with a new project at the historic amusement park.

The trust, which has a new team and new chairperson Bernie Morgan, is working with Thanet District Council and the operators of the park.

It is looking for volunteers to help with the new summer programme promoting the history and heritage of Dreamland.

A series of free exhibitions are planned in the main concourse at Dreamland from the opening day on May 26 and people are needed to help to meet, greet and explain the role of the Dreamland Trust and the content of the exhibitions.

Volunteers will work in shifts and received full training.

Ms Morgan said: “This year we aim to ramp up the Trust’s activity.  With this in mind we are calling for volunteers to help us deliver a number of exhibitions showing visitors archived and other material from Dreamland’s past.

“We would love people from the community to get involved and celebrate all that is great about Dreamland.”

There are also other volunteer roles relating to the Dreamland archive, its organisation and display, as well as developing free talks and tours for the general public and schools.
