Police are dealing with a serious injury road traffic collision on the London-bound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way near Dargate.
The London-bound carriageway between the Whitstable turn-off and Brenley corner will be closed for a number of hours after an incident involving a car transporter.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.
A witness said: “The Thanet Way is shut from the Broomfield turn off to Whitstable and solid along the old Thanet Way -nose to tail.
“Canterbury is gridlocked with lorries and at a standstill.The Vauxhall Road route also blocked. It’s total chaos on the roads out of Thanet.”
