Thanet GCSE results: Royal Harbour Academy

Students at the Royal Harbour Academy in Ramsgate have been working hard to deal with more challenging qualifications following the introduction of new gradings for GCSEs in English and Maths.

Head teacher Simon Pullen said he is pleased with how Year 11 adapted to the new qualifications within a short time frame, adding: “I am proud of what the students have achieved.”

Notable results:

Rhiannon Hensman achieved 11 GCSE passes at C or above  with 2 A* and 1 A grade.

Jasmine Clarke was awarded 11 good passes with an   2 A and  1 A* grades.

Ryan Farr, Brooke Potter and Vasilina Kalashnikova all worked incredibly hard to secure 10 GCSE passes at C and above with Vasilina being awarded 2 A* and 1 A grade and Brooke securing 1A* and 1 A grade .

Paul Johnson, Head of  Upper Site, said: “As always I would like to say well done to all our Year 11 students who have worked so hard to this year and to thank staff for their huge commitment in helping the students . I am looking forward to many of our students staying with us in our successful Sixth Form.”
