Thanet Farmers’ Market returns this weekend

Baps & Bloomers will be at Thanet Farmers' Market

After a successful market in February at the new venue of St George’s School, Broadstairs, Thanet Farmers’ Market returns on Sunday 12 March.

At the March market there will be over 25 stalls of locally produced, grown, made and crafted products.  The farmers’ market is predominately a food and drink market with a small craft and community section at each event.

This month shoppers will be able to visit all of the regular stalls including Little Stour Orchard, with their juice, cider and cider vinegar, Baps & Bloomers with their locally made bread and pastries including seasonal hot cross buns and Smoke and Spice with their hot and cold smoked meats and cheese.

There will also be seasonal and locally grown fruit, vegetables and plants, meat, jams, chutneys, tarts, pies, cupcakes, cookies, fudge, pickles, spices and tea on offer.

There are three guest stalls to satisfy those with a sweet tooth: Taste of Kent award winner Bessie’s Tea Room will be there with her amazing cakes, For the Love of Beans with their chocolate coated coffee beans and The Little Chocolate company with their delicious truffles.

The community stalls this month are Homestart and the Broadstairs Chamber of Commerce and the charity stalls will be Oliver Flaig, raising funds for his Camps International trip, and TAG Pet Rescue.

There will be a free children’s activity of planting spring bulbs, which will run from 10am-11am.

As always the market is predominately inside and there is plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere with a cuppa and a bacon roll.

The market runs from 9.30am to 1pm.
