Thanet A Level Results: Bumper year for Chatham and Clarendon

Students at Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School are celebrating another bumper set of A Level results for the 6th Year in a row, with a pass rate of over 98% and 26% of results at A*/A and 53% at A*- B.

“Students should be very proud of these results and the hard work which went in to achieving them,” said head teacher Debra Liddicoat.

She added:”Nobody should underestimate just how rigorous A level courses are and the amount of hard work necessary by both students and staff over the two years, in order to ensure students have every opportunity to achieve their potential.”

Special mention goes to the following students whose results are outstanding

Adele Atkins, gained 1A* & 2A’s and has a place to read Medicine at Brighton & Sussex Medical School

Peter Brennan, gained 3A’s and has a place to read Civil Engineering at Southampton

Daniel Campbell, gained 2A* & 1A and has a place to read Economics and Econometrics at Nottingham

Amy Clayton, gained 3A*s and 2A’s and has a place to read Engineering at Emmanuel College Cambridge

William Dolke gained 2A*s, 1A and B and has a place to read Engineering at Magdalen College Oxford

Bradley Garrod gained 2A*’s and 2A’s and has a place to read Computer Science at Southampton

Catherine Grover gained 1A* and 2A’s and has a place to read Physics with Astrophysics at York

Daisy King gained 3A’s and has a place to read English at Bristol

Katie Knight (pictured) gained 3A’s and 1B and has a place to read Modern Languages at Exeter

Rose London gained 2A*s and 1A and has a place to read History of Art at the Courtauld Institute, London

Joseph Lord gained 2A*’s and 2A’s and has a place to read Law at University College, London

Gregory McMillan gained 3A’s and has a place to read Product Design at Loughborough

Chris Norwood gained 5A* and 1A and has a place to read Engineering at Pembroke College Cambridge

Nathan Taylor gained 1A* and 2A’s and has a place to read Economics at University College, London

Harrison Watler gained 3A’s and 1C and has a place to read Veterinary Medicine and Science at Surrey

Charlie Wilkening gained 1A*, 1A and 1B and has an offer of a place at Lincoln College Oxford.

Harvey Youngs gained 1A* and 2A’s and has a place to study Art & Design at UCA

The majority of students will be taking up university places in September, studying a wide range of diverse subjects; a result of the school continuing to offer a broad spectrum of A Level courses.
