Shoppers queue from 2am for Westwood Cross sales

Bargain hunters at Westwood Cross

Thousands of shoppers have descended on Westwood Cross looking for a bargain in the first day of the centre’s winter sale.

Shoppers began arriving from 2am, with over 300 queuing by 6am. Staff from Your Bar delivered food and drink to those waiting for household brands including Next, River Island and Boots to open.

Francesca Donovan, Centre Manager at Westwood Cross, said: “The local community look forward to the start of our winter sale and we love welcoming so many shoppers each Boxing Day. This year we really kicked off the winter sale in style, with thousands of visitors descending on the centre.

“Our range of restaurants and cafés were a welcome retreat for those in need of refreshment, providing a chance to refuel and enjoy spending quality time with the whole family over the festive period.”
