Thanet branch RSPCA is appealing for information after two rabbits were found abandoned in Westgate yesterday (January 5).
A woman walking her dogs yesterday morning found the pair, who were dumped in a cardboard box on farm land near the park in Lymington Road.
An RSPCA spokesman said: “Anything could have happened to them, they wouldn’t have lasted long at all having to fend for themselves.
“They are unneutered males, one with bald patches so they are probably suffering with mites.Thankfully they are now safe with us. But all this could have been avoidable.”
