Rock the Pav raises cash for cancer charities

Rock the Pav raised cash for two cancer charities

The free Rock the Pav charity show at the Pavilion in Broadstairs attracted hundreds of people and raised £1,220 for cancer charities Macmillan Support and Pancreatic Cancer UK.

The funds were made through public donations at the event on January 14.

Organisers Andy Burring and Phil Hunt said: “A big thank you goes to all the local artists who gave their performances free of charge and provided fantastic entertainment for everyone.

“They were, in order of performance, The Travelling Philberries, Norman’s Daughter, Free Lunch, Lunar Blues, Détente, Coldharbour Blues Band and 60s Vibes.

“Special thanks are also due to Griff Rising and his team of sound and lighting technicians and to Frank Harvey who was MC for the day.

“Thanks also go to Thorley Taverns for hosting the event.”
