Ramsgate woman sentenced for making 999 hoax calls

A 39-year-old Ramsgate woman has been sentenced by magistrates for making hoax 999 calls.

Charlotte Jaquiline Walkinshaw was sentenced on 24 August at Thanet Magistrates’ Court.

She pleaded guilty to causing wasteful employment of police.

Between 5 April and 18 August Walkinshaw, of Lancaster Close, caused wasteful employment of police by making false 999 calls.

Magistrates sentenced Walkinshaw to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for two years. She must also pay £200 compensation.
