QEQM League of Friends appeal for volunteers

Join the League of Friends volunteers at QEQM

The League of Friends of the QEQM Hospital charity is looking for volunteers to help man the shop and tea bar and ward trolley, which provides a much-valued service to the patients, visitors and staff.

The shop and tea bar is at the St Peters Road end of the hospital above outpatients and on weekdays serves a range of sandwiches, snacks, drinks and newspapers. The trolley is taken round the wards on weekday mornings to sell a selection of these to patients, which is welcomed especially by those who don’t get any visitors.

All profits made go into the coffers of the charity to help buy equipment, facilities and amenities for the hospital.

Anyone planning to apply must be prepared to make a commitment on a regular weekly basis to enable the service to be reliably maintained.
