A police helicopter heard over Margate last night (August 4) was launched in response to a welfare concern report.
Kent Police received concerns for the welfare of a man in the Fort Crescent area of Margate at 11.30pm.
Officers have conducted a search of the area, with the assistance of the National Police Air Service and the Coastguard.
The man has not yet been found and enquiries to locate him are ongoing.
