Police appeal after man shot with airgun in Ramsgate High Street robbery

Witnesses are being sought by officers following an attempted robbery at a shop in Ramsgate yesterday (February 7).

Armed police were called to High Street at 1.35pm  following reports the suspects were armed.

It is reported that two men assaulted a member of staff at a shop before leaving the scene but nothing is reported to have been stolen.

The member of staff, a man in his 20s, was taken to a local hospital with an injury to his neck suspected to be from a pellet fired from an air weapon.

A 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery and both currently remain in custody.
