It was a sea of pink at Palm Bay this weekend as women and girls took on a variety of courses in aid of Cancer Research UK.

It was a tough challenge as temperatures nudged towards the mid 80 degrees  but entrants rallied to complete their routes and raise essential cash for the cause.

Entrants ran 5k, half marathon and/or took part in the Pretty Muddy challenge.

Ahead of the race volunteers from Ageless Thanet, GOGA, Your Leisure and Our Kitchen on the Isle of Thanet were busy filling 800 goodie bags for all those taking part.

Anita Spray My fiancé took part in the muddy 5k race for life and came first Charley Spray 

Jane Bartlett Natalie did half marathon and Kasey and Deb did 5k 

The charity

Cancer Research UK are world leaders in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. The organisation receives no Government funding for its research and relies solely on donations and fundraising.
