One person taken to hospital after bedroom fire in Broadstairs

One person has been taken to hospital following a fire in Broadstairs last night (November 20)

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a fire in the bedroom of a property in Grange Way after being called out at 7.50pm.

Crews used a high-pressure hose reel jet and then a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke and fumes from the premises.

One person was treated by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The cause of the fire is not known.
