Staff at Newington primary school are the stars of a new Christmas song and video.
The Best Present was written and composed by teachers Warwick Eldred and Hanna Beech.
Now Mr Beech is hoping it will catch the eye (or ear) of one particular star – he is a massive David Essex fan!
The school has tweeted the 70s heart throb and staff are keeping their fingers crossed that he might decide to pay them a visit.
Deputy head teacher Wayne Beech said: “Mr Eldred’s dream is to meet his hero David Essex.
“We have tweeted him with the request and the song, and we would love to create a bit of a buzz around it to encourage him to visit!
“It would make Warwick’s year.”
