Margate’s oldest pub to hold 12 hour music fest in aid of Pilgrims Hospice

Northen Belle regulars and pub bosses are hosting the 12 hour fest

A 12 hour festival of Ska and Two Tone music will be held in Margate next month to raise funds for Pilgrims Hospice.

The marathon music event will be held at the Northern Belle pub in Mansion Street on Saturday, September 1.

The town’s oldest boozer, dating back to 1680, will host DJs including Tony Jackson, local John Cripps, Zeke and Toast.

Music will also include Motown, Reggae, Indie and Punk. There will be a record and vintage clothing stall, barbecue and raffle.

It is hoped to also hold a charity head shave and to get in a special guest singer.

Money raised at the Across The Board event, running from noon until midnight, will go to Margate’s hospice.
