Margate Football Club will use next Saturday’s FA Trophy game (November 11) against either Bowers & Pitsea or Egham Town to commemorate Remembrance Day.

The club will pay its respects to the Armed Forces and the fantastic work they do to serve and protect our country.

There will be a reduced entry price for servicemen and women for the match and a Royal British Legion bucket collection will be place during the game.

Prior to kick-off The Last Post will be performed ahead of a minute’s silence. Representatives from the Royal Navy ,Submarine Service,Royal Marines and Royal Air Force, alongside personnel from the isle’s British Legion, will form a guard of honour, which will include six standards on parade.

A club spokesman said: “We hope fans and members of the local community will join us at Hartsdown Park for this very special occasion to pay respects to the Armed Forces.”
