Margate FC makes a gift delivery to children on QEQM’s Rainbow Ward

Margate FC Chairman Alistair Bayliss, First Team Manager Steve Watt and a number of first-team players made a very special visit to Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother Hospital last night (December 18).

Armed with Margate FC goody bags filled with gifts, the group including Frannie Collin, Liam Friend, James Rogers, Ben Swift and Ben Wynter, helped spread a little festive cheer amongst young patients staying at the hospital’s Rainbow Ward.

Following the visit, Club Chairman Bayliss said: “I’m really proud to have been involved and thrilled that our players took time out to represent the club and get so involved.”

“We understand our role and responsibility as a football club to serve the local community and it’s an area I believe we’re demonstrating great strength in. Our visit was especially special given the time of year and a very humbling experience.”
