John Lawson Circus has cancelled its visit to Ramsgate this month due to the mess left at the site it uses off Manston Road.
A Travellers’ group had moved on to the site, next to Manston Road Tesco, last month and although they have now moved on the condition the land was left in means it is impossible for the circus to set up there.
The circus had been due to arrive on March 15 and stay until March 21 but in a statement issued today said: “Unfortunately we have had to cancel our visit to Ramsgate. The site is in such poor condition, the landowner has stopped our visit under health and safety concerns.
“If you have booked tickets please contact the retailer for a refund. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused but it is beyond our control.”
These gypsies have taken over the side road which runs adjacent to the airport fence on A299 between Minster roundabout and Cliffsend roundabout. Hope the authority moves into action quickly.
