Invite to the second TOFFs meeting in Margate

TOFFs meeting

The second meeting of the Thanet Over Fifties Forum (or “TOFFs” for short) will take place this month.

The Forum, which is part of the Big Lottery funded Thanet Community Support Partnership, was founded earlier this year, with the aim of raising the voice of older people across Thanet on issues of local and national importance which affect the quality of their lives.

The meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 10.30am, at the Margate Baptist Church, will have guest speakers Penny Wells, of WASPI (Woman Against State Pension Inequality), Barbara Roberts, of CROP Kent (Citizens Rights for Older People) and representatives from Thanet Community Wardens, Carers’ Support, Trinity Resource Centre and Kent Fire and Rescue Vulnerable Person’s Liaison Officer

If you would like to find out more about TOFFs, and become a member (which is free – and entitles you to six informative newsletters a year, on everything from scam awareness to local events), please email [email protected] , call 01843 609337 or click here for the facebook page
