On Tuesday, July 25 our new President Barbara Copper held a President’s lunch in aid of her two charities Strode Park Foundation and Operation Sunshine.
Members of the committee helped set up and although rain threatened, the event was able to be held in Barbara’s garden. Members of Inner Wheel contributed desserts and President Barbara provided a delicious chicken salad..We were joined by other Inner Wheel Clubs in the area, including Ramsgate, Broadstairs, Westgate and Birchington, Canterbury, Deal Dover and Herne Bay. All in all it was a great afternoon.
Forthcoming events are in the process of being planned and will certainly include a shopping trip and our annual silent auction. We are also planning several interesting speakers at our monthly Tuesday evening meetings at Northdown House.
We are actively seeking new members to join our club to help raise money for good causes. President Barbara’s charities for this year are Strode Park Foundation and Operation Sunshine.
