From Ballroom grandeur to Treetop bar fun – Dreamland launches new wedding service

Weddings with a twist at Dreamland

Dreamland Margate is launching a new wedding service.

The park, which had a multi-million pound revamp last year, is offering a bespoke experience for brides, grooms and their guests, plus all fun of the fair – with a twist!

Whether the wedding has four or 400 guests, Dreamland has a choice of spaces to suit a variety of tastes.

The Grade II listed Ballroom is licensed for ceremonies and can hold  200 seated, 375 standing. The space comes with a bar and has two smaller rooms adjacent which can be hired at an additional cost – useful as an additional bar area or as dressing rooms for entertainers.

The Hall by the Sea is the park’s  largest indoor space which can be set up to suit any layout and dressing, for dinner, dancing, and bands – 400 seated or 1200 standing using the full area.

The Roller Room  could be the space for evening dancing, complete with its own bar, and can accommodate up to 800 guests.  Or with some added dressing, the space can be reduced to create a comfortable area for up to 400 guests.

The retro-style Green Room with its banana-leaf design wallpaper is perfect for an intimate wedding breakfast for up to 30 guests or a reception for up to 80 guests

The Tree Top Bar – which offers panoramic views of the amusement park -offers drinks receptions with easy access to all the attractions; 120 guests standing.

The VIP huts provide an exclusive area for watching live entertainment on the outdoor Scenic Stage.  The four huts have a barbecue area and perfect for reception drinks and informal outdoor dining. Each hut can accommodate 25 guests or up to 125 guests for exclusive hire of all four huts and garden area.

The site also offers 1930s pub and restaurant, the Cinque Ports; Quarterdeck Brewhouse – a cosy hop-filled and lowly-lit space with craft beer for those looking for a more intimate setting, and the Caribbean-themed Ziggy’s rooftop bar for the ultimate place to catch the famous Margate sunsets in the summer.

Inspired by the locality, the wedding breakfast menus include seaside classics such as oysters and fish and chips, fairground favourites including mini doughnuts, candyfloss and ice cream, as well as elegant three-course seated dinner options. While fun and quirky, the menus consist of quality ingredients and local produce is used to provide an authentic Kentish experience.

An all-new sales and events team at Dreamland, who together bring a wealth of experience from around the UK including large London venues such as the O2 and Barbican Centre, have created the new wedding experiences.

Lesley Ellard, Corporate Sales Manager at Dreamland said: “Dreamland is a totally unique wedding venue and stands apart from others in the level of flexibility it offers. Couples who are looking for something different have so many options here and their experience is truly tailor-made.

“We provide fun and quality, with the capacity to cater for those who would like a classic seaside experience, a festival fairground vibe, or a more traditional and secluded environment. The park is a perfect alternative backdrop for wow-factor wedding photographs and the authentic vintage surroundings make it really special!”
