Free family spooky fun at Dreamland for half term

Get Spooked - for free - at Dreamland

Ghost hunts, creepy crawlies, a wizard battle and Monster Mash ball are just somer of the fun, free activities taking place for youngsters at Dreamland this half term.

Every day from October 21-29 there will be a full programme of spooky activities, entertainment, games and fun for all the family for Dreamland’s Get Spooked.

Daily activities for children will feature alongside the vintage rides, pop-up entertainment, roller disco and arcades at the park.

Children under 1.0m receive a free ride wristband with one paying adult.

Daily Fun

12pm and 3pm – Teddy and Betty Show: watch a performance as our park mascots go on a spooky adventure 1:30pm – Wizard Battle: take part in a Harry Potter-style challenge.
2pm – Arty Party Crafts: visit the Haunted Snail hut for a range of fun craft activities
4pm – Monster Mash Ball: play games, dance dances and get spooky with the Dreamland entertainers and DJ Chui

Slots available on the day for Nerf Wars: enter Crank Jack’s Lair, lock load and get Nerfed (£3 or included in ride wristband).

Spiders and Creepy Crawlies

Be amazed by the creepy crawly bugs, slithery snakes, spiders and lizards in the Monstrous Menagerie at the Dreamland Ark. 

Go on a Ghost Hunt

Can you find Gus the Ghost hidden around the park?

Are you Brave Enough Challenges

Collect a challenge card from the hub and complete the tasks to prove how brave you are


Saturday 21st October
The Dreamland Wand Emporium

Become the most powerful witch or wizard in all of Kent: select your wand base and weave intricate protection spells and dualling charms into it.

Dreamland’s First Annual Conker Conquest

Bring your conkers on bootlaces and prepare to battle to be crowned Thanet’s conker king or queen

Sunday 22nd October
Veggie Monsters: Revenge on the Pumpkins

Sick of pumpkin’s hogging all of the limelight at Halloween, the other vegetables are beginning to rise up from the dead in monstrous forms… Decorate vampiric carrots, spooky squash, and petrified potatoes.

Monday 23rd October
Cursed Necklaces & Haunted Jewels

Using ancient relics and mysterious beads and trinkets, craft a necklace or brooch suitable as a gift for the vampires and ghouls in your life.

Tuesday 24th October
Patch Making

Design a felt badge to show your allegiance to your monster crew! Squad Ghouls!

Wednesday 25th October
Madame Mabel Marmaduke’s Marvellous Mask Making Meetup

Mask making with Madame Mabel Marmaduke – time for change? Fancy a new face? Build one up from Mabel’s plethora of crafty bits.

Thursday 26th October

Wind and weave wool into pompom pumpkins, ghosts, spiders and bats.

Meet the Gruffalo

Get up close and personal with one of the world’s most loved monsters from the Deep Dark Wood.

Friday 27th October
Potion’s Class: Slimes, Oozes, & Goos

Who can create the ooziest of goos? The grimiest of slimes? The slipperiest splats? Mix up and take home your own pet slime.

Saturday 28th October
Paint Splat Monsters

Look out below! Summon your own monster with the magical powers of gravity! Drop your paint bomb from up high and see what creature is released…
