Fire crews called to blaze at derelict building in Sandwich

Fire crews have been called to a blaze in Sandwich.

A fire is thought to have started in the roof of a derelict building off Deal Road and spread to a newly built garden cabin, a vehicle and surrounding agricultural land.

Emergency services were called at 6.05pm

Crews used breathing apparatus, hose reel jet, a main jet, flexi-packs and beaters to extinguish the blaze that is believed to have been accidental.

The scene was made safe by 8pm

There were no reported injuries.
