Film crews are shooting scenes in Broadstairs today (January 16) for a war movie featuring actor Mel Gibson’s son Milo Gibson.

The film – Hurricane – is based on the Polish 303 RAF Squadron in the Battle of Britain. Gibson takes the role of Lt. Johnny Kent,  a Canadian flight lieutenant who led the newly 303 squadron of Hawker Hurricane fighter planes flown by Polish pilots at the height of the Battle of Britain.

Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon and ITV’s “Prime Suspect 1973” star Stefanie Martini also have roles in the movie.

  1. Shame they couldn’t film the airplane bits at Manston…if there were any airplane bits. But surely with a title such as “Hurricane”

  2. Lets hope they did`nt film the rear of the isle of wight vintage bus , it had plastic stick on numbers for the phone number ! Showing the number dialing code 01983 which became that in april 1995 when 01 was added to all national codes .
