Film crews are shooting scenes in Broadstairs today (January 16) for a war movie featuring actor Mel Gibson’s son Milo Gibson.
The film – Hurricane – is based on the Polish 303 RAF Squadron in the Battle of Britain. Gibson takes the role of Lt. Johnny Kent, a Canadian flight lieutenant who led the newly 303 squadron of Hawker Hurricane fighter planes flown by Polish pilots at the height of the Battle of Britain.

Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon and ITV’s “Prime Suspect 1973” star Stefanie Martini also have roles in the movie.
It will be produced by Stray Dogs Films and Matt Whyte with David Blair directing and has a release date of Autumn this year.
Scenes were due to have been shot in Broadstairs last October but filming had to be postponed.
Crews are now in the town and seafront.
Filming is currently only expected to take place for today.
