Soldiers from 3rd Battalion The Princess of WalesÕs Royal Regiment (3 PWRR) have been taking part in Exercise Northern Strike, which is a reciprocal, joint exercise with the U.S. National Guard. Approximately 120 Reservists from across Rochester, Canterbury, Brighton, Eastbourne, Manston and Ashford have deployed to the U.S. to train and exercise as part of the multinational force whilst building strong bonds, a positive reputation amongst our allies and remaining combat ready and adaptable. Elements of the exercise include, operating in built up areas (OBUA training), a shoot house – a purpose built training establishment for live firing tactical training inside buildings, patrolling, training for their battalion specialist patrol and reconnaissance teams and cultural familiarity and adventurous training.
