A woman and four children have been taken to hospital following an incident in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.
Police, fire crews and ambulance staff were called just before 1pm after a car apparently collided with a group of pedestrians. It is thought the car rolled backwards into the woman and two youngsters.
A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 12.54pm to a report of a collision involving a car and a group of pedestrians in Northdown Road, Margate.

“Officers are currently at the scene alongside the Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
“The road has been closed while the vehicle is recovered.”
A Secaqmb spokesman said: “At 12.57pm we responded to an incident in Sandhurst Place, Margate with reports that a car had rolled down a hill into a group of people.
“We mobilised four cars and two ambulances to the scene and the air ambulance was also alerted. A female in her 30s was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with leg injuries and four children were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.”

KFRS confirmed the call out but said they had not been required to carry out any action.
Kent Police has confirmed all injuries were ‘minor.’
