Discover Thanet’s wetland birds on these expert-led walks

 Discover the varied birdlife of Thanet’s dramatic coastline under the guidance of expert local birder Tony Swandale.

The Thanet coast is globally important for wetland birds and Tony will share his knowledge and guide people to the best places to view all kinds of birds on a programme of walks starting this week.

Walks are suitable for adults and children over 12, beginners and those who wish to improve their bird identification skills. These short walks will take place once a month throughout the year.

When:  Weekday mornings and evenings, 2.5 hours in duration

Where:  Venues include Pegwell Bay, Minnis Bay, Ramsgate Harbour & North Foreland.

Includes:  Binoculars to borrow  free of charge. Handouts, advice on optical  equipment.

Cost:  £7 per person
