Fire crews were called out at midnight to a report of a hedge and trees alight in Westwood Road, Broadstairs.
The fire, which is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette, spread to some timber fence panels in the stretch of road leading to the St George’s school roundabout.
Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check it was fully out.
