It was full house at Beacon Bingo in Margate last night as customers flocked to see and chat with Channel 4 Gogglebox star Sandra Martin.

The reality show favourite, known for her extravagant jewellery and forthright views, enjoyed a night of fun at the Marine Terrace venue after an invite from manager Graeme Corner.

Graeme said: “I just asked Sandra if she fancied a day trip to Margate. Everyone likes meeting a TV star and we made it like a studio set and Sandra had her pizza boxes and Pot Noodle!”

The flamboyant star, who quit the show last month after best pal and Gogglebox partner Sandi Bogle left to concentrate on her music career, also tried her hand at calling the numbers.

She is just the latest in Beacon’s celebrity line-up.

Last month Steve McFadden – Phil Mitchell on Eastenders – packed the hall out and now there are plans for more big names.

Graeme said: “I’m hoping to have a celebrity once every three months. Steve McFadden filled the place so I might even stick with an Eastenders theme, perhaps invite Max Branning (Jake Wood) or Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).”

If you can’t wait until then for your celebrity fix Elton John tribute Greg Andrew will be at Beacon for a one hour show on Saturday evening.
