Car destroyed in Cliftonville fire

A car has been destroyed in a fire in Cliftonville.

Firefighters were called at 7.44pm to reports of a vehicle on fire at the junction of  Dalby Square and Ethelbert Crescent. One fire engine from Ramsgate station was sent to the incident.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using a high pressure hose reel jet, but unfortunately the vehicle could not be saved. There are no reports of any injuries and the incident is thought to be accidental

Firefighting operations finished at 8pm, though crews remained to clear up equipment and make the scene safe.
