Armed police are searching a house and a car in Ramsgate.
Witnesses report up to five police cars currently on the scene in Bradley Road.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Armed officers carried out a search in Bradley Road, Ramsgate, at approximately 3.42pm following a report that a man was believed to have been seen in a car with a firearm.
“A search was carried out however no firearm was located.”
