An emergency services safety day will be held in Margate next weekend.

Margate’s two RNLI lifeboats and lifeguards, Kent Fire and Rescue with three fire appliances including a turntable ladder, South East Coast Ambulance Service, Margate coastguard rescue team along with Deal line rescue team, Kent Police, Red Cross, KFRS community safety unit and the road safety motorbike will all be on display.

There will be various practical and safety awareness sessions during the day, entertainment by the Greyhound Buskers and refreshments.

Admission is free and all is subject to operational availability.

When, where, how much

The event takes places on Sunday, July 16 from 10.30am to 4pm at the Margate RNLI lifeboat station, behind Turner Contemporary.

There is no parking at the site, follow signs on the main roads to public car parks.
