An act of kindness could win you one of these bespoke LED signs

Ten signs will be given away

A charity which has been working on projects in Newington is giving away 10 bespoke, LED ‘be kind’ signs to celebrate World Kindness Day on Monday, November 13.

The special giveaway is open to anyone who would use the sign to inspire acts of kindness and promote kindness as a way of life. Arts and kindness charity, People United,is aiming to give signs away to individuals, groups and organisations that care about kindness.

To be in with a chance of receiving a ‘be kind’ sign, applicants are asked to challenge themselves and/or their colleagues to not only display the signs but to also complete a kindness challenge.

People United wants to hear applicants’ ideas for acts of kindness, big or small, that will benefit their communities and spread kindness.

The charity has  commissioned LED neon sign makers bag&bones to create the limited edition signs. These LED neon lights are more environmentally sustainable, but just as beautiful, as traditional neon glass. The signs will vary in colour, but all will be 80cm wide x 30cm high.

The deadline to apply to own one of the bespoke signs is midnight on Sunday, September 24.

Just answer a few short questions about where you’d put the sign and who it would benefit. Applications are welcome from everyone including (but not limited to): schools, community venues, youth groups, hospitals, care homes, arts organisations, businesses, voluntary organisations, housing associations, local councils, heritage venues, museums, galleries, and individuals.
