All day music event at Olby’s Soul Cafe to raise cash for Oasis Domestic Abuse Service

Margate band Gang will help raise funds for the Oasis service

Margate based music promoters Art’s Cool have organised an all-dayer of live music and DJs at Olby’s Soul Cafe to raise funds for local charity and refuge Oasis Domestic Abuse Service.

The event, which makes up the first part of a two-day Scene Swap, will showcase bands and musicians from Margate and Leeds’ DIY music communities on Saturday, January 13.

Margate’s Gang, Inevitable Daydream, Itchy Teeth and Lil Yee Boys will be joined by Leeds groups Much,Treeboy & Arc (pictured below), Chest Pains and Damp, followed by late night DJ sets from Tom Vek and Ghost Culture.

The second part of the scene swap will take place on Sunday, January 14 at Leeds DIY rehearsal space CHUNK where the bands will raise funds for Yorkshire based charity MAP. The charity provides tailored education for young people who are at risk of exclusion from the mainstream school system.

Doors open from 3pm – 1am.
All proceeds raised from the Saturday event will be donated to Oasis Domestic Abuse Service
