A road in Margate has reopened following a crash this morning (January 29).

St Peter’s Road was closed in both directions between Alma Road and Addiscombe Road due to a car hitting a parked vehicle and flipping on to its roof.

Kent Police was called at 7.43am  to a report of the collision close to the junction with the B2052.

It involved a silver MG and a parked black Vauxhall Astra. One passenger in the MG suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the MG, a 30-year-old man from Margate, has been reported for driving without due care and attention and having no insurance.

The road was closed while the MG was recovered and had re-opened by 9.48am.
