A Ramsgate band rocked crowds in Margate and made it through to the semi-finals of a competition being held at Dreamland.

The Angelo Tristan Band kicked off the Battle of the Band on the scenic stage on Sunday (August 6) with a jam packed set of some serious rock.

And an appeal for fans to turn out resulted in a massive show of support for the foursome.

The band is made up of  Angelo Tristan, Jack Bentley-Smith, Louis Cairns and Kieran Gaffney, who are known for their fantastic original rock tracks but also their diversity and ability to bring a more acoustic/ country vibe to their music.

They will now fight it out at the semi-finals on August 20 and are hoping fans will join them.

Angelo said: “We are overwhelmed with the support we had at the last show! The fans are giving this journey a purpose and what is making this journey an amazing one.

“ I can’t thank everybody enough that came and supported us, it was you reacting to our music that got us through! Thank you!

“Now let’s do that again on August 20 at the semi-finals. Come down and bring your friends, bring your family, bring you long lost cousins! We just want to see you there having fun! We will bring the fire! We promise.”

Bands will battle it out every Sunday afternoon until September 3 to be in with a chance of being crowned the winners, securing the grand prize of session time in a recording studio.

The battles run from 3pm to 5pm.
