A man is in a London hospital following a stabbing on Ramsgate seafront

A man has been taken to Kings College Hospital in London following a stabbing in Ramsgate during the early hours of this morning (September 22).

Police and ambulance crews were called to  Harbour Parade in Ramsgate at 1.14am. Part of the pavement close to Rokka bar was taped off.

Police officers are appealing for witnesses  to the incident.

A spokesman said: “A man sustained an injury to his neck, consistent with a stab wound and was taken to a London hospital. His condition is stable.

“A 28-year-old man from Margate and a 32-year-old man from Ramsgate were arrested on suspicion of assault and currently remain in police custody while enquiries are ongoing.”

Both parties are believed to be known to each other. The victim is now in a ‘stable’ condition.
