A gift made to Pilgrims Hospices could pay for 300 hours of nursing care

Area 8 Masonic Lodges with the big cheque for Pilgrims Hospices

Pilgrims Hospices has received a whopping £6,000 donation cheque presented by members of Area 8 Masonic Lodges.

A sum of £3,000 was given as a donation from the lodges with a further £3,000 which been raised through organising a ladies evening dinner and dance.

The cheque was presented to Karen Kenward, Pilgrims community fundraising manager.  Karen said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone from the individual lodges, you a really helping to make a difference to those who need Pilgrims care the most.”

The donation is enough to provide 300 hours of Pilgrims nursing care.

The lodges are regular supporters and many members have family and friends who have been in need of Pilgrims care.

With the support of generous organisations within Thanet, Pilgrims can continue to provide care and wellbeing services at the hospice, in peoples own homes and within the community.
