A couple in their 60s have been robbed and assaulted in Cliftonville

A man and woman in their 60s have been assaulted and robbed in Cliftonville.

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses  following the reported robbery at a home in Gordon Road.

The incident occurred between 1.55pm and 2.25pm on Thursday 15 June.

A man is reported to have entered the property and assaulted  the pair. A gold watch, jewellery, an iPhone and cash are said to have been stolen.

The suspect is described as white, aged around 25 years old, and wearing a balaclava, silver jogging bottoms, a black top and black Nike trainers.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect.
