Thanet Athletics Club’s Joshua Eve put in some stunning performances at the Kent U13 Championships in Gillingham on September 14-15.

Over the two day event, Joshua competed in the 200m sprint and 800m middle distance events against a very strong field of young athletes.

Making the final in the 200m and placing 8th overall with not only an event best of 28.15s, but also a lifetime best by over one second!

His outstanding performance of the weekend was in the 800m where he broke his personal best time by nearly 5 seconds and finished in the medals with a 3rd place.

A great end to Joshua’s 2024 track and field season.

Chair, Julien Lawton said: “Joshua has shown amazing commitment to his athletics which is clearly his passion. He will now take a well deserved break from competition.

“Thanet Athletics Club welcomes all budding Joshua’s every Tuesday and Friday evening. Check our website for details.”
