The hall of St Laurence Junior Academy in Ramsgate reverberated with the sound of electric guitars and the cheers of aspiring rockstars as Rock Kidz On Tour brought a full day of high-energy workshops on Perseverance.
All staff and pupils embraced the theme, showing up dressed as rockstars for a day that blended important life lessons with the thrill of a rock concert. The Rock Kidz team brought a professional rock concert experience to the school, complete with top-notch sound and lighting equipment that added to the overall atmosphere of the event.
Throughout the day, the pupils participated in interactive workshops led by the experienced Rock Kidz team, engaging in activities designed to inspire and empower. The Rock Kidz team delivered powerful messages on perseverance, resilience, and the importance of nurturing dreams. The sessions were filled with music, dance, and engaging challenges that made learning fun and memorable.
Much to the pupils’ delight, Rock Kidz On Tour introduced them to a new word – YASBA! Derived from “You’re Awesome, So Be Awesome,” this empowering mantra became the rallying cry for the day. The Rock Kidz team encouraged pupils to carry the spirit of YASBA forward, reminding them that each one is truly awesome and capable of achieving greatness.
Headteacher Sarah Graham said: “What a fantastic day had by all. It was wonderful to see all of our children enthusiastic, dancing like crazy and learning all about perseverance.”
