Just to add, a small radius around that area has a checkered history of vehicle accidents. Its an area that draws seasonal visitors £ tourists.
Why has no one in authority sorted out out the traffic in that radius just to make it safer for pedestrians crossing roads. ATM its survival of the fastest, ramsgate harbour access tunnel is closed allowing many hgv’s to trundle up past cafe’s bar’s tourist attractions and try to merge on to main road via mini roundabout.
Hgv’s need to use wrong side of road via mini roundabout or reverse and try again & again. Jezz something needs to be done. So Many near-miss events there. Have complained to authority but got no reply. Maybe the new mp can sort it
There probably needs to be a Pelican-type crossing on Leopold St. Crossing in front of Miles and Barr needs very quick reaction times. As a junction it’s very similar to High St/Queens Road in Broadstairs (including adjacent bus stops), so there’s a precedent.
