Royal Harbour Academy students celebrate IB results

International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme results at RHA

Students at Royal Harbour Academy in Ramsgate have celebrated receiving their International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme results.

With a rigorous curriculum including a Level 3 BTEC Diploma and two IB Diploma Programme courses, the school says students have demonstrated outstanding dedication and academic excellence.

In addition to their coursework, students successfully completed the IBCP core, which includes personal and professional skills development, a community-focused service learning project, and a reflective essay exploring an ethical dilemma. They also immersed themselves in an international culture through mandatory language acquisition.

Headteacher Simon Pullen said: “I am very  proud of the 6th Form students and the dedication and resilience they  have shown throughout their two-year journey.”

Notable individual achievements:

Mia achieved a grade 7 in higher level English Literature and Language, a grade 7 in Social and Cultural Anthropology and a grade A in her Reflective Project. She has been accepted to attend Kent University to read Classical Studies, a truly brilliant achievement.

Mia said:” I’m very thankful for my sixth form experience at Royal Harbour and all the support I received from my teachers and peers. I’m really proud of my results and I’m grateful for the opportunity I was given to work to reach my goal of going to university. I’m excited to start my journey at the University of Kent in September to study classics.”

Poppy-Jo received a grade 5 in higher level English Literature and Language, a grade 5 in Social and Cultural Anthropology and a B grade in her Reflective Project. Her love for English will continue where she will continue to study the subject at the University of Suffolk, and perhaps one day she will be welcomed back to The Royal Harbour Academy as a staff member.

Poppy said: “My journey at RHA and results are all thanks to the overwhelming and unconditional support from my teachers and friends. I look forward to starting English at Suffolk university because of my high grade achievements.”

Head Student, Melis, who has been a testament to the school throughout,  received a grade 5 in higher level English Literature and Language and a B grade in her Reflective Project, another fantastic achievement.

Melis said: “I am really happy with my results and I am forever grateful for the support I got from the sixth form staff and looking forward to studying law at Winchester.”
