Teen boxer Chaz Butters from The Hornets Boxing Club in Ramsgate has claimed gold to become a two-time champ in the Barum Boxcup.
The 15-year-old travelled to Ilfracombe in North Devon for the competition over September 16-18.
After weigh-in on the Friday morning the draw was announced and Chaz boxed against a well-schooled competitor from Repton club in east London, taking an unanimous win.
On day 2 he boxed against the Irish national champion from Kilmyshall ABC, again winning to go into Sunday’s final.
This was fought against a skilled competitor from Dagenham with a close bout where Chaz emerged the winner to claim gold.
The Hornets Boxing Club is based at 18 Leigh Road.
Well done Chaz good win again its also great to hear your doing something you like and I hope you go all the way keep it up maybe Olympics for you in a couple of years,
