Bounce and activity park to be created at former Dreams shop in Westwood

Elev8 is expected to open in October

A bounce park with slides, an assault course and climbing walls will be opened at the former Dreams store in Westwood Retail Park.

Elev8, which will also include interactive features, will have two parks, one for under 4s, with less challenging features, and the main arena suitable for over 4s.

Events such as party nights will be held on Friday and Saturday nights with music and atmospheric lighting. There will also be toddler mornings, after school sessions and SEN sessions during term time.

Pricing will start at £9.50 for Open Bounce sessions, safety socks must be purchased from Elev8 but are reusable. Toddler sessions will be £5 for 2 hours

Entry is free for anyone not participating. People will be able to grab a coffee and a bite to eat in the on-site café.

The bounce park is the first phase of the project with plans for new features to be added.

The unit will be transformed into the activity site

A Thanet team is heading up the project. Work is due to start on the unit this week with Elev8 expected to open in early October.

It is understood neighbouring site -formerly Laura Ashley furnishings – has also been taken on and will be converted to a gym.

  1. Your right about it being broadstairs retail park ,but most people call the whole area there, from the range ,to Sainsburys ,Tescos to Iceland to Homebase, Westwood or Westwood cross,

  2. Yes I agree Ray, Westwood retail park was named East Kent Retail Park originally. It’s good to see the empty stores being used.

  3. Do they do pensioner discounts, hopping they had an internet site where discounts would be mentioned!.
If its not on the internet, it aint ready

  4. Much needed in this area is a full size leisure centre, which is multi purpose for all ages including affordable spa facilities, steam rooms hot tubs, suna and relax area. It’s good for older bones and well being.

  5. They have all that at Ramsgate leisure centre, Carol… I saw in there yesterday that they’ve got discounts on annual memberships as well (so it’s about half the price of Bannatynes).
