Man arrested following rooftop stand-off in Ramsgate

A man was arrested following a stand-off in Ramsgate where he clambered onto a roof and had to be talked down by officers.

Kent Police officers were called to Adelaide Gardens on Saturday afternoon (July 30) to a man who was wanted in relation to an outstanding court warrant.

The man had to be talked down from the roof by officers in a three hour negotiation.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police attended Adelaide Gardens, Ramsgate on the afternoon of Saturday 30 July and arrested a man who was wanted in relation to an outstanding court warrant.

“The man remains in custody and will be transferred to court.”
